| Perspectives on the Direction of the Singapore Economy |

| Two of EDC@SMCCI’s Senior Consultants presented a seminar entitled ‘Perspectives on the Direction of the Singapore Economy’, in relation to Budget 2010 and the recommendations of the Economic Strategies Committee (ESC). It addressed the implications for the local SMEs and Malay-Muslim businesses (MMBs). The location of the seminar was at our premises on Jalan Pinang. |

| The seminar began with Mr. C.J. Tan highlighting the salient points of the ESC and Budget 2010. He then went on to talk about the implications of the latter and also touched on some of the challenges currently facing SMEs and MMBs. |

| At this point, Mr. Patrick Chong took to the floor and explained in some detail on what the Budget has in store for small and micro businesses, in terms of skills enhancement, productivity, capability transformation, R&D and investments in suitable companies..... |
