EDC@SMCCI has noted that most micro and small
enterprises are not maximising their fullest potential to
grow. This is observed from mentoring more than 1,000
micro and small enterprises below $1m in turnover in the
past 12 months.
The review found that technically-oriented smaller
companies often overemphasize a one-dimensional focus
on product development. They focus on rapid sales and
growing profits in the short term, at the expense of
establishing long-term links to the market and partners.
