Steve Taklalsingh Deputy Group MD (Asia-Pac) MD, VSAPAC UK MD, VSAPAC US
Professional Experience: Steve has over fifteen years of experience, principally in financial and risk management services. As the Deputy Group MD, Steve plays a key role across a broad spectrum of management and strategic functions.
Steve is primarily involved in the financial risk analysis and strategic recommendations for government agencies and financial institutions around the region, and directly advising more than 150 SMEs across various industries. In addition to the advisory role, he also oversees the syndication business for VSAPAC’s intellectual properties and licensees in North Asia, South Asia, US, UK and ASEAN regions. He sits on the Group’s Economic Development Committee as one of its key members to advise on tenders and partake in projects by international donor / development agencies – as well as managing the Vector Worldwide Consultants Network (VWCN) of more than 3,000 members in 100 countries.
Prior to joining VSAPAC, he was the CFO at a CLSA/Bloomberg joint venture and at an investment company based in London and New York. Steve did his initial training with PriceWaterhouseCoopers where he worked on a variety of major audit clients. After qualifying as an accountant, he then moved on to Deloitte Consulting where he advised a variety of Global Clients across Europe and USA. He later moved on to a dot.com start up which was successfully sold off and has spent the last twelve years supervising investment companies based in the cities of London, New York and Singapore, which are involved in a variety of Financial Services products.
Education : Steve is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and has an MBA (International Finance) from Manchester Business School. He obtained his Accountancy qualification in London. Steve did his under graduate studies at University of the West Indies in Trinidad.
